With over 20 years experience in education, Alison has been delivering projects to young people for over a decade. Having worked extensively in Kent and London, Alison established New Ventures Trust in 2018 to continue this work in Gloucestershire and develop partnerships with schools, creative practitioners, community groups and businesses across south-west England. The aim is to deliver projects to young people which inspire them, enthuse them and engage them in the world beyond their classroom.
Sian is an education consultant and owns The Alternative Classroom. Her experiences and responsibilities are broad, ranging from being a mainstream dance teacher and Advanced Skills Teacher, to being Deputy Head in a large and successful Pupil Referral Unit. She is passionate about education and in particular, the learning experience for all children. It has always been important to her to ensure that children get the best deal possible and she enjoys working collaboratively with peers to make this happen.
Mark is a public transport professional, building his career in the private sector bus and rail industry before moving to work in the Middle East and Asia on the delivery of major public transport projects. He now assists international transport groups with competitive tendering, operational optimisation, human resource issues, strategic development and project implementation. Mark is a passionate believer that giving young people access to varied and challenging environments, out of their comfort zone, will help them face the challenges of the transition to adulthood and is excited to assist New Ventures Trust in the delivery of these experiences.
A previous grammar school teacher with many years of international executive experience on the board of European engineering companies, German born Maike has always been passionate about supporting people’s growth through offering access to new and varied experiences. An experienced coach and consultant with an interest in art, Maike lives and works in the Cotswolds.
Charlotte is a Law undergraduate from the University of Gloucestershire currently completing an internship linked with the University and New Ventures Trust. Through her research skills and knowledge from her Law Degree, Charlotte is helping to develop a fundraising strategy, draft legal documents and develop forthcoming projects
